"Aye, ye old salt.. this be a perfect opportunity fer an industrious man to line his pouch. We can neigh ferget what ol' Davey be after though. His agenda may be his, but ya can rest assured that if'n ya cross his path in the wrong direction, it'll be the last path ya cross." Roberts raised his hand to silence Dragon as the others started gathering 'round their table to listen to the old pyrates. "This may not be the place for you and I ta be havin' this discussion.
At that moment a rather scared looking young deck hand came crashing through the door so swiftly that he ended up sprawled out on the floor, this of course caused everyone to erupt in raucous laughter. The lad scrambled to his feet, wiped himself off and stepped up to the bar. "Rrrrrruuummm pppleease" he finally managed to say. Annie set up a tankard and put her hand out for payment. The lad looked down as he dug into his pocket, realizing he had no gold he looked at Annie sheepishly, "Sorry ma'am, I seem to have lost my coin". It was the way he said coin that caused both Dragon and Roberts to turn toward the lad. "Coin? Did ya say ya lost yer coin lad?" Dragon asked as he rose from the table with Roberts and the two older men sauntered to the bar on either side of the lad. "Aye sir, I had a coin in my pocket and I seem to have lost it. Well, not exactly lost it, it was more like I gave it away". Dragon and Roberts looked at each other and then to Annie who nodded and told the lad "It's on me this time lad, but you best have gold when you come in here again". Roberts nodded at Dragon and they each took one arm of the lad and led him toward the back area of the bar behind the one door into the kitchen. They were soon joined by Annie who ushered the kitchen staff out front to watch the bar.

“The staff be lookin’ out for me bar, ye kno’ what’s goin’ on heres right?” Annie asked Dragon as they walked into the back of the bar. “I was afraid of this here happenin’ being it’s that time again, 10 years and of course he’d show up just when you had to start this here contest, when will ye start listening to me fer once you old coot?” Annie exclaimed as she turned to Roberts with an evil eye look.
Roberts replied, “Now we know ole Davey just be lookin’ for his coins Ms Annie, if’n we give him his coin then he’ll not be interfearin’ with the contest, but if’n he doesn’t get what he wants,” The lad broke into the discussin, “he’ll runs his cutlass strait through you likes he did me fellow matey’s.”
All 3 turned and looked at the lad with wide eyes, Dragon took a sit next to the lad, “you tellin’ us here, that you seen Davey Jones and he be the one who tooks your coin?”
“Yes, Yes I did” he told the crew. “He’s wonderin’ where be’s his gold, I had to gives him me favorite coin, then he spared me life, but me matey’s, they refused to give him thems coin, so’s he staked em’ on his cutlass and tossed em on to his ship, or what ever that thing was”
Annie pulled the two other men aside, “now we know that there is gold coin that has the Davey Jones curse on it, and I can’t tolerate it here in me’s tavern, so I’m holdin you two’s responsible now, that none of that cursed coin enter through me doors.”
“Me’s hears ye Annie, we don’t be needin’ no cursed coin in our dealin’s during this contest” Dragon nodded to Annie
Annie looked to Roberts, “if’n just one coin enters me tavern then we could be lookin’ fors a visit from that(she thinks about what to call Davey), that, filthy thing and if’n him was to come in here, he’d runned off the business with just his stink, and I work’d so hard to build this place, me can’t loose it now. Me in no need of any rowdy pirateers coming’s in here to bust up me place to get a look see of that monster, so I’m holdin’ ye both responsible for keeping them cursed coins out of me tavern, do ye hears me?”

"Easy now Annie, ye got no reason to be fearin' his comin' inta yer place. 'e don' work like that and ye well knows it. ya also knows that anyone that be havin' one o' his coins not likely be gettin' rid of it here, well outside of a young deckhand who just seen his short sorry life pass before 'is eyes anyway. Thar be one other thing ye can be sure of, he'll not be comin' in 'ere with Roberts and I present, 'e knows the likes of us'll keep 'im from doin' as 'e pleases." Dragon said Roberts nodded in agreement and added his own two pence. "Dragon's right Annie, e'll not be comin' 'ere fer sure. Not if'n 'e e'er wants ta make it back to The Dutchman alive anyway. Too many o' them scallywags out there be knowin' his business and they also be knowin' 'ow to avoid 'im should the need arise.". Dragon turns toward the door, opens it and bellows out to the crowd "Alright ye scabberous dogs, Any o' you got any coins ye shouldn't be havin' ye best be gettin' yer behinds out tha door afore I finish my tankard if'n ya know what's good for ya." He shut the door and smiled "Lucky fer them ya keep a fresh keg back here ain't it?"

“Dragon, me knows fer sure ye and Roberts will keep him away, but what if’n one of those scallywag’s competen’ was to bring one of them there coins in for drink?” Annie asked. “I prefer to be havin’ no reasonin’ fer Ole’ Davey to come lookin’ this ways for his coin.”
“Annie, ye matey’s here, me & Dragon, we promises ye that there be no cursed coins get brought in to ye tavern” Roberts assured her.
“Well boys, if’n ya promise, then I be keepin’s ya held to that. Now it’s time’n that I gets back to me business. Sounds like old Black Sam is bellowing away out there, let’s me go see that me place stays in one piece tonite.”

Outside in the main room the sounds of men moving around quickly could be heard, along with the sounds of at least two heading out the door. "Sounds like thar was a couple o' lads what had some of Davey's gold inside". Dragon said, "I won'er jus' 'ow many more still be carryin' it wit' them, but not be 'fraid o' the curse?" He rose to his feet and swaggered to the door and opened it, looking back at the lad who had apparently passed out cold after finishing his drink. "I told you Annie, some of these young bucks canna be handlin' yer ales an' tha's why ye not be makin' much money". he chuckled as he headed into the main room. "Jack and Sam, ya best be makin' sure that none of yer men here be carryin' any o' Davey's gold, elsewise ye be havin' ta deal with a very angry woman in the likes of Anne Bonny. She'll not be havin' any o' that acursed gold in her place and Ah aims to make sure that be tha way o' things". He bellowed.
Jack stands up as does Sam and both men's hands reach down toward their cutlasses. Dragon draws both his pistols and levels each at one of the others heads. "Now, ya wouldna be wantin' ta do nothin' rash now wouldya? 'Sides, ya not be wantin' ta bring a knife to a gun fight anyways. Naw I didna think so, now ya just need ta be sittin' down and finishin' yer drinks thar still be much ta discuss 'afore this contest gets underway. The arrival o' old Davey is just coincidence says I. It be ten years now since last he set foot on dry land and now he be back, just like he was ten years ago, and just like he'll be ten years from now."

Annie heard all of the ruckus going’s on, so she grabbed Calico Jack and Black Sam by their ears and walked them over to Dragon’s table. “Ye 2 be actin’ like them there scallywags now, ye has pushed Annie fars enuf, so sits ye arses down and listen to what this man be telling ya, or Annie gonna puts both ya out the door with me foot” she demanded. “This man be trying to tell ya the ways to win this contest, now how ye gonna play this thing if’n ya won’t listen to the man that can lead ya to victory?”
As she turned to Dragon, “Now Cap’n Dragon, please tell these men the lay of the land, so’s me tavern can stays in one piece. No more of this here pullin’ swords and guns and get this constest set.” Annie turns to the bar where her helper was already setting up a pipe full of rum, “Annie needs a drink after all this here fussin about.”

"Thar be them what thinks Davey Jones is a myth, thar be them what says he's nought more than a legend made up to scare the lads when they first come aboard the ship. Then thar be me, who knows the truth o' ol' Davey Jones, and his ship "The Flying Dutchmen", believe me lads, the both be very real things, and neither one be something you wish to tangle with. Today be the anniversary when Davey be allowed to walk upon land, and he has come in search of his gold. I'll be havin' none of it at me place, and Annie be having none of it here, so if'n ye be carryin' it ye best be gettin' out of here a'fore it's too late. Annie be not wanting ol' Davey to show his ugly face in here, it'd be real bad for business. You two lads, who call yerselves Cap'n's best be listenin' and hearin' me good. You don't want to be crossin' ol' Davey Jones, of that ye can be sure."

Annie sat at the bar drinking her rum, listening to Cap’n Dragon explain the contest to Calico & Black Sam, she took a big swallow from the pipe of rum and set it on the counter, and motioned to her helper, “watch me drink deary, please” and she sauntered back over to Cap’n Dragon and bent over to whisper in Dragon’s ear………..
